Forged in Love is the first of three sweet romances* in the Wyoming Sunrise Series. I love cowboys. I love the smell of leather, the sound a saddle makes when you “mount up”, the rolling hills and sweeping valleys of horse country. I also appreciate the harsh reality of forging a living in the country bereft of basic conveniences. So, Mary Connealy’s books fit a niche in my heart.

Forged in Love is, of course, about love. That special moment when a spark touches your heart and you realize this man is special; this man evokes feelings beyond the physical. Forged in Love is also a murder mystery that adds a touch of terror as Mariah not only fights for her life, but struggles to identify the killers. And, the story has an underpinning of women’s age-old struggle between remaining independent or marriage.

I’m giving Forged in Love Four Potatoes. It’s not a literary masterpiece, but it’s a good tale, clean and entertaining reading, and, like I said, I love cowboys (and cowgirls).

The Laws of Attraction comes out in June. You can pre-order it at Baker Book House (best buy!), Amazon , and Barnes and Noble
