BOOK SIGNING

Fri Dec 6 & Sat Dec 7   12 noon to 3 pm  525 Main Weston, MO

Elizabeth Manzanares Wenig – a former resident of Weston  “Plum Pudding”

Oh, I am so excited about this book signing.  I LOVE WESTON!!  My husband and I lived there and had a charming little Victorian Tea Room called “Plum Pudding” where we served scrumptious croissant sandwiches and to-die-for soup, did specialty catering and held delightful birthday tea parties for little girls. What fun!! Later we added a Bed & Brunch just in case tourists loved it so much they didn’t want to leave!

Since my new book “Domus – The Tempest Crystal” is set in Weston I just HAVE to go there for a book signing. And, to sweeten the deal, Weston is having their annual Homes Tour that weekend. It’s déjà vu for me as we had our home on tour one year…that was so special! You can buy tickets to the Weston’s Candlelight Homes Tour here.

So, come on by and let’s chat about Domus and Weston. See you there!

DOMUS is a CLEAN FANTASY and SWEET action-packed romance that delivers a message of faith and eternal love. It explores the depth of human nature as Lichen wrestles with his natural self. Shall he exact revenge or rise to a higher calling? Lichen’s love for Isabella is intertwined with the very survival of Domus as he goes from jet pilot to slayer of Lacerta, from the charming historical town of Weston, Missouri to a foreign land where beautiful faeries blindside you, evil masquerades as good, dragons become your best friend and an unknown grandfather heals your heart. Lichen is whisked into an otherworldly domain with a different set of rules where you don’t need a jet to fly and magic is more than an orphan boy on the movie screen. He experiences a realm of love, pure and eternal; a reign of terror, wicked and foul; and a discovery of self, profound and far-reaching.

Forged in Love is the first of three sweet romances* in the Wyoming Sunrise Series. I love cowboys. I love the smell of leather, the sound a saddle makes when you “mount up”, the rolling hills and sweeping valleys of horse country. I also appreciate the harsh reality of forging a living in the country […]

I love historical fiction. And, this one is special because it’s about the author’s family. The story wound itself within the double helix of Emily Beeson’s family and emerged in this beautiful poignant tale of love, heartache, and redemption. The heroine, Ellen Breakell, sat in their family pew guilt enveloping her like an evil shroud. “Maybe […]

Catherine has done a beautiful job in bringing her brother, Charlie, out of a nightmare’s darkness into the light that only love can accomplish. She gives us the opportunity to know him as she does, to see and feel his great spirit, to look beyond the uncertainty, and grab hold of the essence that is […]

Oh, my goodness how I love to read!!! In addition to the obvious, (books) I collect memes, jokes, cartoons, and essays, about books! And, I know some of you do, too. I get lost in author’s bios and author’s how-to’s and author’s stories. Of course, I love to write as well–guess books and writing […]

To say my first book signing was a little out of the ordinary is like saying Alice knew exactly what she was doing when she went down the rabbit hole. Check it out here.

3 1/2 POTATOES Out of Five Potato scoring method:  When I was a little girl I LOVED MASHED POTATOES.   Mom made them all rich and lumpy with lots of cream and butter.  Sometimes the potatoes came from Grandma Lizzy’s cellar.  It smelled musty and hosted its resident black snake, but that didn’t diminish the cellar’s […]
