#1  Rise and Shine – Prayers, devotions–Up with the rooster crow!

I’m a lark.  Most of my family are owls.  I like to get up early.  They like to sleep in.  I hate Daylight Savings Time because it steals my morning hour.  They love it because they get an extra hour of fun time at the end of the day.

So, getting up early wasn’t that much of a stretch for me…however, I still have my moments when I think, “oh what the heck.  I’ll hit snooze….just once.”  I have discovered that even just 30 minutes earlier boosts my productivity.  So, an hour or TWO really gives my day a kickstart.

If you have trouble in this area, if your head says “get up” and your body says “close your eyes” try getting up just 15 minutes earlier than usual and work your way up.  Don’t shoot for the two hour mark at first; it will only discourage you.  Inch by inch life’s a cinch.

Proverbs 31:15  She riseth also while it is yet night, …

DC 88:124 …cease to sleep longer than is needful; retire to thy bed early, that ye may not be weary; arise early, that your bodies and your minds may be invigorated.
