LIFE HAPPENS!!!

We want to serve delicious healthy food to our families and ourselves, but occasionally there just aren’t enough minutes in the day to squeeze out one more thing.  I love using charts.  This one presents a lot of options in a small space.

You don’t need a recipe for every living thing.  My grandmother and my husband use the eyeball method–if it looks about right then it is.   A small amount between the fingers is a pinch.  A little mound in the palm is a teaspoon.  A handful is as half cup.  Unless you’re Michael Jordan.  Really, have you seen those hands?

These two charts are a guide not a hard and fast rule.  They are meant to spawn creativity.  They are training wheels for your food bike.  They are a support, a back-up, an ‘atta-girl.

One is for pesto.  Pesto can be used for so many things.  It’s like a nail; you can hang a multitude of meals on it.

The other one is for smoothies.  Oh, don’t even get me started on smoothies!  Sweet or savory.  Quick, easy, nutrition packed.  What’s not to love?

Download, print and stash in your recipe box, binder or tape inside the cupboard door–wherever you will see and use them most.

You can also find these charts on the Just For You page.
